Hi, I'm Anna Makeeva
Certified Ethical Dog Trainer & Dog Behaviour Specialist
I got my education at the Nordic Education Centre for Ethical Dog Trainers and learned from living legends like Turid Rugaas, author of game-changing books such as On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals; Anne Lil Kvam, a trainer who worked with scent discrimination dogs in Africa to detect landmines and author of The Canine Kingdom of Scent; Julia Robertson, an expert, pioneer, and leader in Canine Myotherapy both in the UK and worldwide, who was among the first to highlight the correlation between canine pain and behavior; and Amber Batson, a Veterinary Surgeon and Behaviorist.
Compassionate, Ethical Canine Solutions
In my work, I rely on the most recent studies about dogs' behaviour and physiology and follow the principles of the Least Inhibitive, Functionally Effective (LIFE) training model, a new framework for ethical animal training practices.
I provide gentle guidance into behavioural principles and driving mechanisms for caregivers, and together we find a solution that benefits both the dog and its human. The well-being of both the animal and the caregiver is essential to me, and I work with empathy and compassion.
